Dear Community,
We are happy to come to you with nothing but good news and excitement about the future of Angel Protocol.
As you know, we have not stopped building. Since the unfortunate event that took place last May, we took the time to learn from the past, build a strong foundation in the present and plan for a brighter future. During the last weeks we have shared our joy with you through some updates about our next steps: the migration of the Galactic Angels to Polygon through OnePlanet, details on our upcoming Angel Impact Funds for public use, and the launch of our social impact validators on the Juno, Terra and Kujira Networks.
But that was just the beginning!
We still had to make one more decision: What was going to be our new home? We have understood that more than problems, bad times are opportunities to grow, to be stronger, to be wiser and to be more compassionate, and we have lived by that.
Today, we can proudly say that we are going to relaunch Angel Protocol on the Juno Network, and that we will be launching the Charity Marketplace on September 26th!
But what are the reasons that brought us to that decision?
Well, a few weeks ago when we launched our validator on Juno Network we mentioned 3 main reasons to join the Juno family: community, governance and social impact.
Validators are a key aspect of our ability to finance charities, and a way for people to donate yield rather than principal. Take whatever stake you feel comfortable donating yield for, we take a 100% commission going directly to support charity work around the world. Both the TERRA and KUJIRA validators are hugely successful generating donation funds used for actual impact around the world. We ask that you, the reader, also delegate a portion of your staked JUNO to support this important work.
But today, we want to reiterate the reasons for joining and add a last reason: sense of belonging. Let’s explore them:
Community
The Juno Network community came to us with words of encouragement and helping hands when Terra collapsed. Their actions reflected the principles of a supportive, generous and strong community. We believe these are essential qualities in the success of any ecosystem, as they raise the spirit of the teams to work in a way that honors the trust and support of that community.
Governance
Through governance, it is guaranteed that the interests of the blockchain are aligned to the interests of the community. Once we started to explore the Juno Network in more depth, we realized almost immediately the importance of governance in this L1. This filled us with more admiration for it and further inclined us to make the decision to be part of the Juno family, since we know that governance on Juno will be the reflection of its vibrant community.
Social Impact
As we explored Juno and all that it had to offer, we came across wonderful human beings and initiatives that made one thing clear to us: Juno Network wants to make a footprint on the world. Not a mere financial or technological imprint, but rather a kind of revolution. Juno wants to show that it is possible to be decentralized, autonomous, secure, community-focused, innovative, user friendly and world friendly at the same time… and we want to be part of it.
These reasons made us want to launch our validator on Juno Network. Our values were strongly aligned and that was reason enough for us to be part of Juno. With our validator we wanted to preserve its security, its governance and help guarantee its operation. We were certain of our decision, but sooner than later we discovered that it was just the beginning of our journey, which brings us to our last reason to move to Juno:
Sense of belonging
After our validator was live, we started to interact more with the Juno community and understand more about the Juno Network. We were thrilled to interact with such a generous, vibrant and smart community that received us with open arms and supported us along the way. We engaged in spaces and conversations with other project teams and community members that passionately discussed ways to improve a stronger and better L1. We saw, and are seeing Juno grow, in projects, in community, in passion… and we felt that we belonged there. All of a sudden it wasn’t about “The Juno Network”, it was about “our community, our governance, our people, our home”.
Even though we are strong believers in a multichain future and we will work towards seeing Angel Protocol as a multichain protocol, today we are happy to announce that our first new home will be on Juno Network.
We will work hard to build a great protocol that contributes to the success and expansion of Juno Network. We bring with us our technology, our community and our network of over 160 social impact projects and +125 Angel Alliance partners. We are certain that together we will reach new horizons and that we will contribute to the Juno revolution where we build not only great technology and financial products but also a better world.
